The Old Mushroom Farm is situated 2 miles to the east of Penzance and is an ideal base for exploring West Cornwall including the Penwith and Lizard Peninsulas.
BEACHES Wonderful golden beaches on both coasts are within easy reach - either for surfing and water sports or just relaxing in the sun!
NEWLYN AND MOUSEHOLE These fishing villages are a short ride away with their picturesque narrow streets.
MARAZION This ancient town is a must to visit, especially the castle which sits majestically on top of St Michaels Mount, you can either walk over at low tide or take a trip in a boat at high tide.
SCILLY ISLES If you would like to visit the Scilly Isles by helicopter we are only a mile from the Heliport or if you prefer to go by sea, the Scillonian leaves from Penzance harbour - a magical day out!
WALKING If you like to walk, the village of Long Rock is less than a mile away with its pubs and safe beaches. More serious walkers will find the local Coastal Footpath provides some of the most spectacular scenery in the world.
St. Ives
A little further afield (but still less than half an hour in your car) is the artists paradise of St Ives, with its famous Tate Gallery, and also Lands End can not be left off your list of places to go. A visit to the Minack open air theatre set on the cliff-side overlooking the sea at Porthcurno is a unique experience.
The Hayle Estuary as well as Marazion Marshes are known to bird watchers for rare visitors. An RSPB Notice-board at Marazion will give up to date information.
The Eden Project is about an hour away and is a good day out.
