THE OLD MUSHROOM FARM

The Old Mushroom Farm is situated 2 miles to the east of Penzance and is an ideal  base for exploring West Cornwall  including the Penwith and Lizard Peninsulas.

BEACHES
Wonderful golden beaches on both coasts are within easy reach - either for surfing and water sports or just relaxing in the sun!

NEWLYN AND MOUSEHOLE
These fishing villages are a short ride away with their picturesque  narrow streets.

MARAZION
This ancient town is a must to visit, especially the castle  which  sits majestically  on top of St Michaels Mount, you can either walk over at low tide or take a trip in a boat at high tide.

SCILLY ISLES
If you would like to visit the Scilly Isles by helicopter we are only a mile from the Heliport or if you prefer to go by sea, the Scillonian  leaves from Penzance harbour - a magical day out!

WALKING
If you like to walk, the village of Long Rock is less than a mile away with its pubs and safe beaches.  More serious walkers will find the local Coastal Footpath  provides some of the most  spectacular scenery in the world.

St. Ives

A little further afield (but still less than half  an  hour in your  car) is the artists   paradise of  St Ives, with its famous Tate Gallery, and also Lands End can not be left  off  your list of places to go. A visit to the Minack open air theatre set on the cliff-side overlooking the sea at Porthcurno is a unique experience.

The Hayle Estuary as well as Marazion Marshes are known to bird watchers for rare visitors. An RSPB Notice-board at  Marazion will give up to date information.

The Eden Project is about an hour away and is a good day out.

We have details from the tourist board on local attractions for everybody to enjoy.
